Give seniors the opportunity to raise their sleeves and lower upcoming college costs.
By participating in blood drives this academic year, your school will get to award one senior with a scholarship.
By donating blood, your students will learn the values of volunteering, community involvement and altruism. They will discover that giving blood is quick and virtually painless. Studies show that people who learn to volunteer at an early age are more likely to make donating blood a lifelong practice.
Contact your Indiana Blood Center field representative with any questions.
One senior from each participating high school will receive:
A $400 scholarship, paid to the student’s Indiana college or university of their choice to be applied to their 2018 spring semester tuition; funds to be distributed from Indiana Blood Center to the school in the fall of the 2017-18 academic year.
Red cords to be worn during their graduation ceremony, as allowed by each school; sent to the high school staff member who nominates the student.
A certificate of recognition.
