Blood Bank Crash Course

Purpose of the class

The Indiana Blood Center's Immunohematology Reference Lab (IBC-IRL) offers Blood Bank Crash Courses as an educational outreach effort to blood bank technologists. The classes will include theory review, technical review and case studies.

 

Course descriptions

Basic Blood Bank Crash Courses

  • Target audience: Lab generalist staff members and Indiana Blood Center associates
  • Lead trainers: IBC-IRL Technical Coordinator, Carol Kelly and IRL Specialist, Judi Seidel

 

Intermediate/Advanced Blood Bank Crash Courses

  • Target audience: Dedicated blood bank staff members or supervisors
  • Lead trainer: IBC-IRL Manager, Jayanna Slayten

 

Cost

All classes are free of charge and offered on a first come first serve basis.
