The 2009-2010 class will run from November 2009 to November 2010. Applications will be accepted January 1, 2009 to July 17, 2009.
The admissions scoring system is based on points given for
- Experience
- Grades
- Reference
- Previous Certification
- The top candidates will be asked for a phone interview.
After the applications are reviewed, interviews may be scheduled. Applicants will be notified if they qualified for one of the 4 positions. A telephone conference call will be conducted to allow the student to ask questions about the program.
The student is required to come to Indianapolis, IN for a one week orientation. The expenses for orientation are paid by the student. This is the only travel requirement for the program.
The cost per student is $3,000, payable in two equal installments of $1,500. The first $1,500 payment is due one month before classes start. Online access will not be granted until payment is received.
To apply for the TME-SBB program, complete the following three steps.

Note: The application inlcudes three narrative questions: (1) Why do you want to be a specialist in blood bank technology? (2) Where do you see yourself in 5 years? (3) Why do you want to do an online program compared to an on-site program? Answers should be a minimum of one paragraph.

Step 3
When the application is complete and received at IBC, the TME-SBB Education Coordinator will send an e-mail to the applicant to verify that all documents have been received.
The decision on candidates is from July - September for the class that starts in November.
