Blood Supply is Running Low

Blood centers are nonprofits and depend on volunteer donors for blood donations, but they charge hospitals for the donated blood. President of America's Blood Centers and Chief Medical Director of Indiana Blood Center, Dr. Dan Waxman, states, "blood centers must be able to offset for their expenses."
